Relentless Rain: A Difficult Time for Gilgit Baltistan

Introduction

For the past five days, the people of Gilgit Baltistan have been going through an extremely difficult time.

Heavy rain has continued almost without stopping, bringing hardship to many communities. In different parts of Gilgit Baltistan, floods have damaged homes, farmland, roads and livestock. Many families have lost belongings they worked for over many years.

The rain is still continuing and everyone is hoping for clear skies once again.

Five Days That Changed Everything

Rain is one of nature's greatest blessings but these past five days have also shown how challenging it can become.

Many villages have been affected by flooding and in some places the damage has been severe. Families have seen their homes damaged, their fields affected and their livestock lost.

For those who depend on farming and livestock, these losses are not just financial, they are deeply personal.

Life Has Become Difficult

The continuous rain has made daily life very difficult.

Many roads have been blocked, making travel and transportation challenging. In several areas, people are struggling to reach nearby towns and villages.

In my area, we have been without electricity for the past five days and the authorities have remained silent.

Despite these difficulties, people continue to support one another and remain hopeful.

Standing Together

One of the most inspiring things during this difficult time is the unity of the people.

Neighbors are helping neighbors, families are supporting one another and communities are standing together through every challenge.

In moments like these, kindness becomes our greatest strength.

A Prayer for Gilgit-Baltistan

As the rain continues, our hearts and prayers are with every family affected.

May Allah protect every village, every home, and every person facing these difficult days.

May Allah grant patience to those who have suffered losses, reward those who are helping others and bring relief to everyone affected.

May Allah bless Gilgit Baltistan with safety, peace and clear skies once again.
